Schools are closed Monday in Southern California and parts of Nevada as flooding is expected to continue throughout the day. The storm is moving at 35 miles an hour to the north and east. Rain from the storm is expected to reach as far as Idaho and Montana on Monday. In Nevada, Governor Joe Lombardo declared a state of emergency: 'Today, I am declaring a state of emergency due to the imminent impact of Hurricane Hilary across the state,' he said in a statement. 'My administration will continue to work diligently with state, federal, tribal, and local partners in preparation and response to this severe weather event.'
