00:00 I don't believe why there is a waiting time for NSS patients.
00:07 It shouldn't be waiting time like that. We are losing lives.
00:11 The government should spend more money and the government should fund more money for cancer treatment.
00:18 They should employ more people, more doctors.
00:22 They should encourage young people to become doctors.
00:25 If they don't get enough young people, enough young doctors, they should bring from abroad and they should increase their salaries.
00:33 Otherwise if we don't pay them good, if we pressure them to work hard, they will not continue their job.
00:40 We need to give them some freedom, we need to give them good salary.
00:44 And then the waiting time will go away.
00:47 Get these diseases treated as soon as possible.
00:52 I think it's just worrying if you are in that position.
00:56 Unfortunately we have had a couple of friends in that position recently.
01:00 And the waiting is by far the worst part.
01:04 You get a diagnosis eventually and then it's well-trained and staffed.
01:09 It's just so hard for everyone.
01:12 So, yeah, I mean, what that could do being out of this?
01:16 While comparisons between the nation's healthcare systems remain challenging, disparities in waiting times endure across the UK's four nations.
01:25 In England, a substantial waiting list of 7.6 million people equates to roughly one in seven of the population.
01:34 Whereas in Wales, a system akin to England's, waiting lists encompass diagnosis cases, leading to an outstanding treatment or test for every four individuals.
01:45 Digital Health and Care Wales estimates that approximately one in six people are on these waiting lists.
01:52 Health Secretary Steve Barclay indicates openness to treating Scottish and Welsh patients in England where NHS services are devolved.
02:01 The government highlights prolonged wait times in Wales and Scotland, yet both administrations argue against direct comparison of figures.
02:10 It's just such a fantastic way to make sure people are healthy and are operated on.
02:22 I did have to wait once or twice to see somebody, but it was only like two months.
02:28 So I've never experienced anything more than that, really.
02:34 So I have nothing to complain about.
02:38 I mean, I've had some heart problems.
02:41 And if you are really quite poorly, they'll treat you straight away.
02:47 I know people say waiting time is too long. Waiting time is too long.
02:51 They are so busy. So waiting times will be long.
02:56 But when it comes to when they come to see you, then they take really good care of you.
