Tesla Cuts Model Prices
Tesla has introduced more affordable versions of its Model S and Model X vehicles in the United States amidst increasing competition in the electric vehicle market. These new variants are priced $10,000 lower than their standard counterparts. The Model X Standard Range starts at $88,490, down from $98,490, with a driving range of 255 to 269 miles, while the Model S Standard Range starts at $78,490, down from $88,490, with a driving range of 298 to 320 miles. Tesla aims to enhance its market share and sales volume by offering more competitively priced vehicles, even though this strategy has led to reduced operating margins. This move is in response to rising competition from global automakers entering the electric vehicle segment.
