Pub Darts Player Hits Incredible Nine-Darter – Even as Glass Collector Walks through the Game

Forget Brendan Dolan's history-making and Gerwyn Price's double - the greatest nine-dart finish ever came after a glass collector blocked an amateur player from getting to the oche.

The greatest nine-dart finish ever has been hit in Slovakia - with an amateur player even having to deal with a glass collector's interference.

During a match between Mika Frantisek and Vavrek Jozef, which has since gone viral on social media, Jozef opens the 501 leg with a pinpoint maximum before a fellow pubgoer walks between the two players.

Jozef returns on 321 to hit another three perfect darts, then awaits his third visit and has to pause as a waitress walks past carrying empty glasses.

He then nailed another triple 20 and a triple 19 to leave 24, stepping away from the oche as spectators are made to wait to see the incredible conclusion.

Jozef's ninth dart found the right bed to spark wild celebrations from both the player and those watching, with Frantisek standing still in disbelief.

Darts fans couldn't believe that the amateur was able to keep his cool despite the distractions, as the Bardejov local league leg entered the history books.

To make it even more impressive, opponent Frantisek is considered one of the best darting talents in Slovakia - with his reaction seemingly one of shock.

Unfortunately for Jozef, the nine-darter won't be bringing in the huge sums of prize money that PDC and BDO players have claimed down the years.

John Lowe landed an astonishing £102,000 way back in 1984 thanks to his nine perfect darts against Freddie Williams at the MFI World Matchplay.

Phil Taylor then pocketed 501 bottles of Budweiser twice across two years at the UK Open, two years before he won an Opel Tigra Twin Top in the International Darts League.

The most recent prize for a televised effort came in 2018 when Dimitri Van den Bergh won £25,000 at the Grand Slam of Darts.

Notable efforts including Brendan Dolan's historic making effort at the 2011 World Grand Prix - in which players have to open and finish legs on a double.

Gerwyn Price then hit two across the same night of action during Premier League Darts in 2022, firing home against both Michael van Gerwen and James Wade.
