Plane makes emergency landing on busy UK dual carriageway

A plane has crash landed on a busy dual carriageway.
The light aircraft has been pictured on the grassy central reservation between lanes near Gloucestershire Airport.
Photos show the yellow plane on the A40 Golden Valley Bypass between Gloucester and Cheltenham.
Traffic is queued in both directions and police are on scene.
Traffic monitoring service Inrix reports: "A40 in both directions closed due to police incident from A417 (Elmbridge Court Roundabout) to M5 J11 (Gloucester / Golden Valley Bypass). Traffic is coping well.
"Affecting traffic between Cheltenham and Gloucester."

There are delays of 10 minutes and approx. 1 mile of congestion on approach.''
