Lula meets South American leaders to save Amazon

Brazil's President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva commences an Amazon rainforest summit in Belem, northern Brazil, amid deepening climate crisis. South American leaders are meeting to safeguard the Amazon. It's the first summit of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization in 14 years, formed in 1995 by Amazon basin countries: Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela.
