Zoom, the company known for its video chat platform that enabled remote work during the pandemic, has informed its employees within 50 miles of a company office that they must return to the office two days per week. The decision comes as Zoom adopts a structured hybrid work approach, where employees living near an office must be onsite to collaborate with their teams. Despite being a crucial tool for remote work, Zoom believes this hybrid approach is the most effective way to operate. The transition to the new work model is set to take place over August and September.
