00:00 We've spoken a lot in pre-season on how Spurs might do, looking at all the pre-season games.
00:03 Judging now, sort of a week off, not even a week from the start of the season,
00:08 how will Spurs do and where will they finish this season?
00:11 The million dollar question, isn't it? I think Spurs could well be a dark horse this season.
00:18 I'm not saying we're going to get into the top four. I mean, we've got a lot of new players in
00:21 there that are going to need to gel. The system obviously needs to click with Posta Koglu.
00:25 A little bit worried we're going to be conceding soft goals and goals on the counter-attack.
00:30 Just by the way that Posta Koglu wants to play. But just looking at pre-season, as I say,
00:35 we've had over 100 shots in three games. We've dominated the ball. I think we've had at least
00:39 68-70% of the possession in all three games, albeit friendlies. You've got to take into
00:44 account some of the opposition that we've played. The weather was slightly undercooked because we
00:48 missed the Leicester game due to the weather out there in Bangkok. It means we'll only have
00:54 played four friendlies instead of five. People like Son coming back from injury as well.
00:59 He'll have only played potentially two or three friendlies. So, whether we're absolutely on it in
01:04 the first couple of games, it remains to be seen. But the way we want to play and the way that we
01:10 seem to be shaping up, the way the players are buying into the system, I love that on the weekend
01:14 where we sat back for the last couple of minutes of the first half, conceded a goal and Posta Koglu
01:19 went absolutely crazy, apparently at half-time, with the players. He doesn't want to see any of
01:24 that sitting back. He wants us to be relentless, really kick on, really push on, right to the
01:28 final whistle. So, I think we're going to be the great entertainers in the Premier League.
01:32 As I say, goals galore, I think, will be coming our way. I'm just worried slightly
01:36 about the defending and the defence. Obviously, the new centre-back pairing, we're going from a
01:41 back five to a back four. There's going to be at least two or potentially three players in that
01:46 back four that are new sign-ins. So, it needs to gel. It might take a bit of time, but I do think
01:52 Spurs are going to be a bit of a dark horse. I wouldn't rule out a charge for the top four if we
01:57 get a decent start, but it's going to be tough. Obviously, you've got the likes of Newcastle in
02:01 there, the usual big four, of course. Aston Villa, I think, are going to be a dark horse as well.
02:07 They've made some really, really strong sign-ins as well. Brighton, you can't rule Brighton out,
02:11 they just seem to keep finding players, don't they? And the way that Deserve has got those guys
02:16 playing is absolutely sensational. So, it's going to be really tough, but I think if we were to say
02:24 we were to finish fifth or sixth, I think that's definite progress and maybe have a really good
02:28 cup run, but who knows? Going into the season, certainly optimistic. It just feels like there's
02:34 a vibe around Tottenham at the moment, which is a bit of an air of positivity, which we haven't had.
02:38 Posse Coglou just seems to be a breath of fresh air around the place. So, really positive,
02:43 but obviously we'll see how we go after the first game at Brentford.
