According to historians, from 645 Hijri, the Coptic cloth of Egypt was reserved for the covering of the Kaaba. Along with this, special carpets for the harem were also produced in Egypt. In the third decade of the 19th century, the Saudi ruler King Abdulaziz started the production of Kiswah locally. During this period it was built on native rocks. The Saudi government ordered special looms from Manchester to manufacture it on the machines. Later, Abdul Aziz Complex was established for this work based on specially skilled people and modern technology. In which the holy work of preparing Kiswah is being done regularly every year with the help of the most expensive raw materials
