Shirley Smith High School in the new suburb of Kenny in the ACT is nearly built. It will have a double gymnasium and specialist learning spaces and accommodate up to 800 year 7 to 10 students. The school is set to open in time for the 2024 school year. Principal Rebecca Pearce and Shirley Smith's great niece, Ann Weldon, share their thoughts on the school being named after the Indigenous activist.
