Will Trump Face an Indictment in Georgia?

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has signaled possible indictments in the next few weeks related to Donald Trump's efforts to persuade Georgia election officials to overturn his narrow loss to Joe Biden in the state. Willis has been investigating Trump's phone call to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, where he pressured him to "find 11,780 votes" to overturn the election results. Speculation suggests that Willis may be building a case under the Georgia Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) to charge multiple people involved in a potential scheme. Trump, however, maintains that the phone call was "perfect" and has unsuccessfully tried to get the case thrown out. Legal experts see the Georgia case as more specific, whereas the DOJ's case is broader. The indictment could come between August 1 and August 18, as Willis has hinted.
