Trump leaves for Washington DC for arraignment on charges of conspiring to overturn 2020 election

Donald Trump has left Bedminster to travel to the airport to fly to Washington DC ahead of his third criminal case.

Mr Trump will be arrested and arraigned on charges of conspiring to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

The former Republican president is set to appear at the E Barrett Prettyman federal courthouse in Washington DC at 4pm on Thursday, 3 August.

Mr Trump was indicted by a grand jury investigating the alleged conspiracy to overturn the election and the resulting Jan 6 riot.
