Amazon is expanding its virtual medical clinic by adding video telemedicine visits in all 50 states. The clinic, launched last fall, allows customers to compare prices and response times before selecting a telemedicine provider from several options. It offers care for over 30 common health conditions, including sinus infections, acne, COVID-19, and acid reflux, as well as treatments for motion sickness, seasonal allergies, and sexual health conditions, including erectile dysfunction. The clinic also provides birth control and emergency contraception. Virtual care has gained popularity, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, as a convenient way to seek medical advice. Amazon's messaging-based consultations cost $35 on average, while video visits cost $75. The company's expansion into healthcare includes prescription drug sales through Amazon Pharmacy and the acquisition of One Medical, a membership-based primary care provider.
