A gym roof collapsed during a basketball game when it was hit by debris from Super Typhoon Doksuri in the Philippines.CCTV footage shows the structure caving in as locals played on the court in Dagupan City, Pangasinan province on July 25. One of them was about to do an alley-oop shot on the ring but quickly backed away then the rafters came crashing down towards then.The other players fled in panic, including those sitting on benches next to where the roof collapsed.Parts of the debris also landed in an adjoining room, where gymgoers were working on weightlifting and cardio exercise equipment.Super Typhoon Doksuri continued its rampage north killing at least 30 people in the Philippines before weakening in Taiwan and China.Ape Athletics gym, where the collapse happened, released the footage on Friday July 28 following safety concerns about the structure.A spokesman said: ‘Roofing from the university next door came loose and flew into our facility. It destroyed some of our equipment. Please bear with us as we undergo renovations.'No one was hurt, but the gym added they would be closed for at least two weeks so they could fix the damaged portion.The typhoon, known as Egay in the Philippines, battered the country but weakened slightly overnight, losing its super typhoon status on July 26. It battered the country with gale-force winds and heavy rain, killing at least 30, the country's national disaster agency said.It touched down in Aparri Town, Cagayan province in the northern part of the country some 360 miles from the capital Manila at 3:10 am on July 26, state weather agency PAGASA said. Chinese media reported that Doksuri has landed in Jinjiang City in China's southeastern Fujian province on Friday morning. It is expected to gradually weaken while moving northwest, also bringing wind and heavy rain to Thailand.
