North Korea fires missiles after US submarine arrival in South Korea

North Korea fires two short-range ballistic missiles into the sea near its capital, Pyongyang, for the third time in a week. The missiles traveled about 400 kilometers before landing in waters off the Korean Peninsula's eastern coast. South Korea and Japan expressed concern over the launches, with Japan lodging a protest and emphasizing security cooperation with the US and South Korea.
