Today we will talk about what is Islam and its pillars,
So friends The word “Islam” means “submission to the will of God.” Followers of Islam are called Muslims. Muslims are monotheistic and worship one, all-knowing God, who in Arabic is known as Allah. Followers of Islam aim to live a life of complete submission to Allah,
Why is it called Islam?
Islam comes from the word “al-silm” and “istaslama” which means peace and surrender. The god in Islam is referred to as Allah, which in Arabic means “the god” or “the deity”. A person who believes and practices the religion of Islam is called a Muslim.
How did Islam begin?
The start of Islam is marked in the year 610, following the first revelation to the prophet Muhammad at the age of 40. Muhammad and his followers spread the teachings of Islam throughout the Arabian peninsula,
The teachings of Islam invite people to live a peaceful life based on theism, justice and purity. Therefore, peace in Islam is an eternal constitution. Even the nature of war in Islam is a defensive one, not an offensive one, because the principle of Islam is peace and coexistence, not conflict, violence and war,
which are not beliving and doing against we not consider them muslims, we muslims are not against any religion and we accept all messener of GOD, from Abraham to Jesus crises and we belive Mohammad SAW are last messenger of Allah
Pillars of Islam
Muslims follow five basic pillars that are essential to their faith. These include:
1• Shahada: to declare one’s faith in God and belief in Muhammad
2• Salat: to pray five times a day (at dawn, noon, afternoon, sunset, and evening)
3• Zakat: to give to those in need
4• Sawm: to fast during Ramadan
5• Hajj: to make a pilgrimage to Mecca at least once during a person’s lifetime if the person is able
