"My pampered pooch has his own bedroom and bathroom - and a seven-step grooming routine"

Meet the pampered pooch who has his own lavish bedroom and ensuite - and an elaborate seven-step grooming routine.

Owner Sherry Tran, 30, bought black and white mini Bernedoodle, Oliver, three, in July 2020 and loves to spoil the pup - who she claims is "basically her child".

After living in cramped city apartments, she bought a four-bedroom home with her boyfriend, Ray Cruz, 31, a heavy equipment operator, in May for its spacious garden for Oliver to play in.

With a few rooms to spare, she thought it was time for Oliver to “have his own spot” - and the couple set about renovating the pooch's bedroom and bathroom.

Oliver’s quarters are filled with amenities including a bespoke snack bar - stocked with gourmet doggie treats in mason jars - and a grooming table and ball pit which matches the markings on his fur.

The couple treat their dog to birthday parties - including a $500 picnic and a $1,500 gathering with a professional photographer and balloon artist.

He also has a $1,000 wardrobe - including a bathrobe, rain jacket and a puffer coat to match Sherry's with no snow boots to protect his paws.

Sherry spends $200-a-month on the pup - for medication, homemade meals and luxury treats and chews.

As a nail technician and aesthetician, Sherry is determined to upkeep Oliver’s appearance and keep him "beautified".

Sherry, from Coatesville, Pennsylvania, US, said: "The renovation for his bathroom and bedroom was about $400.

"My boyfriend did a lot of the manual labour when it came to installing things both in the bathroom and the bedroom.

“We’re lucky he’s so handy and willing to help me make my vision come true.

“I'm not going to bring Oliver to work if he is dirty and unkept, I have to hold him to a certain standard.

"How am I going to have a beauty salon if my dog isn’t beautified either?"

Sherry has a daily seven-step beauty routine for Oliver.

She said: “In the morning we get up, I let him outside and then I go to the gym.

"I tell him to go to bed and I give him a little treat. I then take him out to the yard to play fetch.

“The yard has got a lot of morning dew, so his paws are really wet and dirty from all the grass and where we live there’s a lot of ticks.

"We make sure that he has tick treatment daily.

“I then bring him to his bathroom and put him in the bathtub to rinse off his paws with some water to lightly rinse off all the grass.

"I always wanted this bathtub, but I lived in apartments before, and I had nowhere else to put it.

“Then I bring him to his bedroom where he has a grooming table.

"I dry him there with a professional high velocity blow dryer that groomers use.

"I then comb his fur to remove any matts and moisturise his paws.

“He will not let me cut his nails so I have to hand file his nails, so they’re always shaped in a squoval shape."
