This is Lee Asher and he’s on a mission. 5 years ago Lee Asher quit his finance job, got out of his lease, and sold everything he had. He left his previous life behind to build an animal sanctuary. After Lee decided to dedicate his life to rescuing dogs, he hopped in an RV with his friend to visit shelters across the country and find homes for as many dogs as they could. They traveled across 49 states finding homes for dogs — they even paid for the adoption fees. After his pit bull Stella passed away, Lee knew it was time to accomplish his lifelong dream: creating a sanctuary. So he found a large plot of land in Oregon and founded The Asher House: a nonprofit animal collective where animals can live out their days, happy and healthy. They upgraded their sanctuary to a giant 240 acre location complete with fields, farms, and of course a lake for doggy paddling. But it’s not just for dogs. The Asher House is home to a variety of farm animals too. Lee’s mission is to rescue animals that h
