The situation in Punjab is grim as heavy rains continue to lash the state. The flood situation in two districts of Punjab worsened resulting in deployment of the army in the region. As per the report, the army was deployed in Rochar and Patiala districts of the state in order to carry out evacuation, take measures to prevent breach of swollen water channels.
