I don't know who in my family was the Bing Crosby fan, but there are a lot of his records that have been passed down! "My Reverie" is one that I particularly like and want to share. I am intrigued by popular songs based on classical compositions, and I already knew and loved Debussy's "Reverie" before listening to "My Reverie" for the first time.

"Our love is a dream in my reverie.
I can see that this love was meant for me.
Only a poor fool,
Never schooled in the whirlpool
Of romance, could be so cruel,
As you are to me!
My dreams are as worthless as tin to me.
Without you, life would never begin to be
So, love me,
As I love you, in my reverie!
Make my dream a reality.
Let's dispense with formality.
Come to me — in my reverie!"
