so today we will start from second half of rajab, 60 AH, place is Madinah
At the time of Mu'awiya's death, Medina’s governor Walid Ibn Utbah, and he ordered to Imam Hussain to pay homage to Yazid, Hazrat Imam Hussain replid that
Yazid drinks wine and kills innocent people. He spreads vice,and because of him
corruption depravity in the society, so I will never swear allegiance.
When Marwan ibn al-Hakam asked the Imam to pay homage to
Yazid, so Hazrat Imam Hussain AS answered, “Go away you enemy of God! I heard
from the Prophet of God that kingdom is unlawful of Abu Sufyan’s children if you see Mu'awiya on the Prophet’s pulpit, kill him. Our
peoples saw him there, but they didn’t obey the Prophet’s
Now God has made the immoral Yazid Khalifa for them for punish to them.
Hussain refused to do so. As a result,
He took refuge in Mecca in 60 AH (679 AD).
He left his native city of Madinah. There the people of Kufa sent letters to you,
He invited you to come to Kufa and ask him to be your imam
Requested and pledged allegiance to you
May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala follow all the commands of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
