Meta Platforms' latest app Threads has now become the fastest app to cross the 1 million users mark, beating ChatGPT's record. While ChatGPT took five days to cross 1 million users, Meta's Threads reached the milestone in just one hour. There's more – according to Mark Zuckerberg, Threads crossed 10 million users in seven hours.

What Happened: Meta's Threads app is off to a blistering start, becoming the fastest app to cross the 1 million users mark, reaching the milestone in one hour and beating ChatGPT's record of five days.

Zuckerberg also announced subsequent milestones of 2 million, 5 million, and 10 million users on the Threads app – it took the Twitter clone two hours, four hours, and seven hours, respectively.
