Former cabinet minister Sajid Javid has said MPs salary should be doubled to attract more talent to Parliament. The comments come amid a Tory exodus from parliament, with around 30 Tory MP's announcing that they are standing down at the next general election.
Fifty West Midlands firefighters tackled three separate blazes which are believed to be deliberate on Saturday at Sutton Park. Operations Commander Jason Holt said the number of fires attended by the Fire Service in the park over the past week is a concern.
