ACT government backs plan for new stadium in city’s north

The ACT government has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Australian sports commission in what it says is an important step toward plans for a 30-thousand seat stadium in the institute of sport precinct in Canberra’s north. It's seen as the final nail in the coffin for those hoping for a new stadium in the city centre though the government still has plans for a large-scale entertainment venue in the heart of the capital.
