Dear friends today we will talk about qurbani,
Most people might question that is Qurbani farz or sunnah?
By referring to the correct view of Islam, Qurbani is considerable as a sunnah. Sunnah means that the people who perform Qurbani will be rewarded but it is not a sin on the ones who do not do it. Generally, any person who is able to give Zakat (saheb-e-nisab)it is wajib on them to perform Qurbani. Moreover, it is highly recommended for saheb-e-nisab Muslims to perform it. We do it as an act to commemorate Hazrat Ibrahim’s sacrifice, as mentioned in the Quran. If a person can afford to do Qurbani but doesn’t do it, he is not sinning. But he will miss out on a lot of rewards which Allah gives on performing Qurbani. Want to know how to do qurbani? The time of performing Qurbani starts from the sunrise of 10th Dhu al-Hijjah and till the sunset of 12th Dhu al-Hijjah. According to the hadees, the best time to perform Qurbani is immediately after the Eid-ul-Adha prayers. It anybody slaughters their Qurbani animal before or after the above mentioned time. Moreover, qurbani can be done of the following animals: goat, sheep, cow.If not then it will be just meat for the family members and not is not counted as an act of Qurbani.
Furthermore, we should do Qurbani for Allah and not to showoff people around us. May Allah accept our Qurbani and shower his blessings on us. Ameen..
