Imagine you're looking up at the sky on a clear night, and you see all those beautiful stars twinkling up there. Well, one of them is Betelgeuse — it's one of the brightest stars in the sky, so it's hard to miss! When we look at Betelgeuse, we're actually looking back in time. Betelgeuse is about 600 light years away from us, so the light we see today actually left the star 600 years ago. And when it runs out of fuel and goes supernova, we'll definitely notice it down on Earth.
