A teenage sensation leads team Philippines to one of its best finishes in the SEA Youth Table Tennis Championships.

16-year-old Kheith Rhynne Cruz bagged two gold medals in this year’s event held last week in Brunei. Cruz topped the girls' under-17 singles competition by edging her Thai opponent in the finals.

She teamed up with Chrishien Mae Santillan to capture the under-19 doubles title.

The country’s top table tennis player was also a part of the team that copped a silver medal in the girls under-19 team event.

All-in-all, team Philippines hauled in two gold, one silver, and four bronze medals.

It’s time to go all out on this story with Kheith Rhynne Cruz herself, joining us via Zoom.
