Matteo Sartori and Luca Rambaldi won a gold medal on home waters at the 2023 World Rowing Cup II. An emotional victory for Rambaldi, on the birthday of his late teammate Filippo Mondelli, who died two years ago from cancer. Filippo would have been 28 years old on Sunday and he was certainly very proud of seeing Rambaldi and Sartori winning that gold medal.
