Your guide to this year’s Trooping the Colour
  • 10 months ago
King Charles and his senior royal family, including Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton, will gather on June 17th for the Trooping the Colour parade, marking the King's first as monarch. The parade will feature over 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians, but the highlight for many will be the flypast. A total of 70 aircraft will fly over London, originally scheduled for the Coronation weekend but scaled back due to bad weather.

The flypast will serve as the finale of the King's birthday parade, lasting approximately 15 minutes and commencing at 1pm in London. Beforehand, the aircraft will assemble over different parts of the UK, offering glimpses to onlookers. The flight path is not disclosed for security reasons, but the formation of 70 aircraft will come together over the South East before flying past Buckingham Palace.

If the plan remains unchanged from the Coronation flypast, spectators in Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex may also have the opportunity to see them.
