Car Gets A More Sporty Look With Style Revisions, New Nissan Sentra 2024
The 2024 Nissan Sentra will arrive at dealerships this summer with updated headlights, new features and a slightly overhauled SR package.
The 2024 model year brings a few key changes to the compact sedan, including updated headlights, subtly redesigned front and rear fascias, and several minor updates.
With the styling revisions, Nissan says they aim to give the Sentra a cleaner look by adding a reshaped V-motion grille, chrome trim and new headlights with black frames to give the car a sportier look.
Additionally, Sentra's SV class offers new 16-inch alloy wheels, while the sporty SR class gets updated 18-inch wheels. In addition, the front grille is adorned with a dark chrome finish, and a body-colored trim positioned below the grille further enhances its distinctive appearance. It also features new red SR badges front and rear.
Inside, the same red helps add a pop of color, but has been updated for 2024. More close to orange than before, the new color helps make the Sentra SR compatible with the Altima SR and Frontier Pro-X and Pro-4x. .
All Sentra models have flat-floor steering wheels, rounded air intakes inspired by the Nissan Z and more. Forward collision warnings are also standard, while intelligent driver warning alerts, intelligent cruise control and tire pressure monitor are offered as extras.
With SV Premium equipment, customers now get the Smart Surround View Monitor for model year 2024, the eight-speaker Bose Premium Audio System and exterior mirrors with turn signal indicators. The car continues to feature an eight-inch infotainment display, which is also available in the SV and SR classes.
Under the hood, the Sentra retains its 2.0-liter inline-four. It continues to produce 149 hp (111 kW/151 PS) and 146 lb-ft (198 Nm) of torque for the 2024 model year, but a new Xtronic CVT transmission has been added to the vehicle. The transmission is claimed to have a smoother shift pattern and is designed to use fuel as efficiently as possible. In addition to a new standard stop/start that shuts off the engine when idling, the 2024 Sentra will be more fuel efficient than ever before.
EPA figures have yet to be released by the automaker, along with additional information on each trim level and pricing. These details will be announced later. Nissan has confirmed that the car will be available for purchase next summer.
