Evacuees or “bakwits” are seen building temporary shelters at an open lot, lent to them by kind residents in Barangay San Andres, Santo Domingo, Albay on Tuesday, June 13.

Evacuees from the 7-kilometer permanent danger zone of the restive Mayon Volcano, opted to build temporary shelters due to crowded evacuation centers.

The provincial government of Albay has expanded the danger zone surrounding the Mayon Volcano to a radius of seven kilometers as it prepares to evacuate residents following increased activity from the volcano. (MB Video by Ali Vicoy)
