Cyclone Biparjoy: PM Narendra Modi Holds Meeting To Review Preparedness

On June 12, PM Modi held a meeting to review the situation as Cyclone Biparjoy intensified into an ‘extremely severe cyclonic storm’. The cyclonic storm is likely to make landfall between Gujarat's Kutch and Karachi in Pakistan on June 15 afternoon. The cyclonic storm will make landfall with maximum sustained wind speed of 125-135 kilometres per hour (kmph) gusting to 150 kmph. PM Modi directed concerned authorities to take every possible measure to ensure that people living in vulnerable areas are safely evacuated. PM Modi asked officials to be prepared with all essential services.
