The Lesson is a tale about an aspiring and ambitious young writer named Liam (Daryl McCormack) who accepts a tutoring position at the family estate of his idol, renowned author J.M. Sinclair (Academy Award nominee Richard E. Grant). However, soon Liam realizes that he is ensnared in a web of family secrets, resentment, and retribution. The Sinclair family all guard a dark past, one that threatens Liam’s future as well as their own in this taut noir thriller.

The Lesson is directed by Alice Troughton and written by Alex MacKeith. The producers for The Lesson are Camille Gatin, Cassandra Sigsgaard, Judy Tossell, and Fabien Westerhoff along with being Executive Produced by Andrew Karpen, Kent Sanderson, Martin Heberden, and Jens Meurer. The Lesson stars Richard E. Grant, Julie Delpy, Daryl McCormack, Stephen McMillan, and Crispin Letts.

The Lesson is releasing only in theaters on July 7.
