An Army Major has told a coronial inquiry into the 2020 Mamadgi bushfire if he'd been asked, he may not have authorised an unplanned helicopter landing for a crew member's toilet break. The inquiry is examining the decision to land in the national park which sparked the fire when the helicopter's searchlight came into contact with long, dry grass.
