Tesla ($TSLA@US) has recently increased its discounts on Model 3 inventory vehicles, leading to speculation that the company is trying to sell off its remaining stock before launching the refreshed version of the electric sedan. Initially, Tesla applied a $1,210 discount on new inventory of Model 3 vehicles in the US. This discount was only applicable to new inventory vehicles, not custom-built orders. Tesla has raised the discount to $2,410, bringing the starting price down to $37,830 before incentives. With the federal tax credit of $3,750, the price drops to $34,080. The increased discount and lowered lease price suggest Tesla is trying to entice buyers to purchase the remaining Model 3 vehicles before the design refresh.
