Tesla Whistleblower Exposes Safety Risks

A Tesla whistleblower has leaked 100GB of data to the German outlet Handelsblatt, revealing thousands of customer complaints that raise serious safety concerns about Tesla's Full Self-Driving features. The complaints, from 2015 to March 2022 and reported across multiple regions, highlight self-acceleration problems, braking malfunctions, unintentional emergency braking, and false collision warnings leading to phantom stops. Some incidents resulted in accidents, with vehicles abruptly braking or accelerating, causing collisions, or ending up in ditches. In January the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration over 360,000 cars equipped with FSD and temporarily halted FSD installations due to identified crash risks.
