Thomas is helping at the Diesel works when Splatter and Dodge knock a fuel truck in to Thomas causing him to become very dirty. He then tries doing his other jobs while dirty but the other trains don't want him near them. However, in the end they agree that Thomas was just being really useful and getting dirty wasn't his fault at all in this fun toy train story.
