England again won the final of Group E of the 2023 U20 World Cup. Ian Foster's troops defeated Uruguay 3 2 at Estadio Unicos made by Diego Armando Maradona in the early hours of Friday (26/05/2023). England led by 2 blanks in the first half. Bashir Humphrey scored the first goal in the 22nd minute. Alfie Devine doubled the score in the 45th minute. Uruguay reduced the score four minutes into the second half with a goal by Franco Gonzalez. However, England won the third goal after Darko Gyabi converted Alex Scott 5 in the 90th minute. Marcelo Carlo Brol's men could only muster one response through Matias Abaldo. With this result, England leads the U20 World Cup Subgroup E with six points. Meanwhile, Uruguay is in second place with three points.
