Residents defends building their homes on top of the ageing pipelines in Fyzabad

Now the residents of Massahood Junction, Fyzabad, are defending their actions saying they built their homes on top of a major oil pipeline because they believe the line was condemned.

They say they've been living near the oil lines for over sixty years. And, despite a call by the Acting Prime Minister for Heritage to crack down on indiscriminate construction near oil lines, residents believe they are entitled to compensation following Sunday's spill.
