A construction company has been fined over half a million pounds after an employee died falling from a ladder while doing work at Bearsden train station.

The incident occurred in 2018 where Matthew Mason was fatally injured while installing a public address system.

Linbrooke Services were found guilty of breaching health and safety, and working at height regulations.

Next, Glasgow’s public health is becoming increasingly threatened by rodent infestations which rose by 31 percent last year.

The GMB union convenor Chris Mitchell said he believes the situation is being made worse by fly-tipping and is calling for more education on improving environmental health.

The local authority has said that residents play a vital role in restricting the presence of rodents in and around their property.
