A 13-year-old boy has died in hospital four days after being struck by a car on Balmore Road.

The teen was left in critical condition following the crash, and Police have confirmed he passed away in the Royal Hospital for Children on 14 May.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are keen to talk to the driver of a white van who was in the area at the time.

Next up, a property developer has submitted plans to build almost 1,000 flats including student accommodation on the Glasgow site of one the of worst fires in UK history.

Glasgow City Council has received an application for the redevelopment of an area near the Kingston Bridge at Anderston Quay.

It was the scene of a whisky bond fire in 1960, where 19 people died and it was considered the largest peacetime loss of life ever suffered by Britain’s fire and rescue service.

And finally, a dog stolen from a Glasgow garden last year has been found in Northern Ireland.

The identity was confirmed by microchip and the dog has been reunited with her owners.
