Tasmanian Liberal MPs Lara Alexander and John Tucker have quit the party to sit as independents over concerns about future debt surrounding Hobart's new $715 million AFL stadium. The Tasmanian MPs took issue with the proposed stadium, saying decisions were made by cabinet behind closed doors, and they could not support it based on the information they had.
