Manipur Violence: 60 Killed, 231 Injured, 1,700 Houses Burnt In The State Since May 3, Says CM N Biren Singh

The violence in Manipur claimed at least 60 lives. Nearly 231 people were left injured and 1,700 houses were burned down, Chief Minister N Biren Singh said on May 8. The Chief Minister has announced that a high-level inquiry would be conducted to punish people or groups responsible for instigating violence in the state. Government servants who did not do their duties will also be held responsible. Till now, 35,655 people have been hit by violence. Of these, 1,593 students have been moved to safer places, CM Singh said. Nearly 10,000 people remain stranded. Watch the video to know more.
