It was a rather terrifying moment for fans of The Conjuring after rumours were rife that the haunted doll the 2014 film Annabelle is based on had escaped from its museum. Is it true? We'll tell you. Directed by John R. Leonetti, Annabelle was inspired by the story of a haunted doll, narrated by paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. The film is a prequel to 2013's The Conjuring.
The haunted doll is kept in The Warren's Occult Museum in Conneticut, USA. Over the weekend, two tweets emerged on the internet that claimed the haunted doll had escaped from the museum.
The first post, tweeted from an account called Riley Jace, contained a nine-second clip of an edited Wikipedia page that said, "The Annabelle doll escaped on August 14, 2020 at 3am in The Warren's Occult Museum in Conneticut, USA."
