00:00 Hey guys, so today's video is going to be how to make a precise cut crease.
00:22 Cut creases are seen all over Instagram and I have seen some videos on here on YouTube,
00:29 but I thought I would make my own video on how I do my cut creases because everyone's
00:34 different and this is going to show you how to really get that precise line.
00:39 I use the BH Malibu palette which has shadows on the side and blushes in the middle.
00:48 I haven't used this palette in a while so I thought I would do a look with it and this
00:52 is what I came up with.
00:53 I'm going to zoom you in so I can kind of show you how the eyes came out.
01:01 So yeah, they're just a brown cut crease with kind of a gold shimmery shade on the lid and
01:07 then extended inner winged corners to kind of give my eyes a more cat-like effect.
01:17 So yeah, that is my little spiel.
01:21 Lastly just going to show you the technique on how I do my cut creases.
01:25 I do these all the time for my Instagram which is Makeup by McKenna.
01:31 I think it's a really great way to test your makeup artistry skills and they're fun and
01:39 you could do them with neutral colors or you could do them with really fun bright colors
01:43 which I've done plenty of times before.
01:46 I just love doing them.
01:47 They're really fun and they can be a little challenging at first but after you do it a
01:51 few times you'll definitely get the hang of it.
01:54 Thank you so much for watching.
01:56 Have a great day and stay tuned for the tutorial.
01:59 Bye guys.
02:01 Okay guys, so this eye is obviously almost done.
02:06 I have just the cut crease on the eyeliner.
02:09 All I need is lashes and mascara but as you can see it's a very crisp line and that's
02:18 what I'm going to show you how to achieve on this eye.
02:22 This eye already has Urban Decay Primer Potion and MAC's Pro Longwear Concealer on it.
02:28 So I'm going to get started.
02:29 What I'm going to use first to kind of cut that crease is take an Urban Decay eyeliner
02:37 in the color Whiskey.
02:38 Yeah, I think it's Whiskey.
02:40 And I'm going to, I'm not going to go like this and stretch my eyelid up.
02:46 I'm going to keep it the way it is if I were to just look straight.
02:52 That way when I draw the crease in, I'm not drawing it in my actual crease because I have
02:58 hooded eyes which means the skin up here hangs over my eyelid.
03:03 So if I were to just draw directly into this crease, you wouldn't actually see my cut crease.
03:08 So I kind of make my own crease.
03:11 So what I'm going to do is I'm going to look straight and I'm looking in my mirror so that's
03:16 why I'm not looking directly into the camera.
03:18 And I'm going to take the eyeliner and just start sketching out that line.
03:28 Okay, so now I'm going to take my palette.
03:51 I'm using this Beige Malibu palette.
03:53 I'm going to take the darkest brown in the palette.
03:56 You can take any dark brown that you like.
04:01 And I'm just going to put the dark brown onto, on top of the eyeliner.
04:08 And I'm going to kind of start blending the eyeliner out using this brush.
04:23 Next I'm going to take the brown right next to the dark brown.
04:27 Basically just take a light brown and I'm going to buff that into the crease as well.
04:41 Now I'm going to take a smudger brush.
04:42 It's just a tiny little smudger brush that I have from Beige Cosmetics.
04:43 I'm going to dip back into that dark brown.
04:44 And I'm going to define that crease even more and kind of trace the eyeliner.
05:05 Okay, now once I have, once I've done that, I'm going to go back in with that smaller
05:09 white hair brush.
05:11 I like using white hair brushes because they have more coarse hair.
05:16 Usually they're made with goat hair.
05:19 And since it's coarse, it really blends out the color.
05:29 And then I'm going to go in with a bigger brush like this.
05:33 And I'm going to put the orange in the palette on top of everything I just put.
05:55 So for now, this is good.
05:56 They seem to be pretty even.
05:57 They're not going to be perfect because I actually have two different eyelids.
05:58 I think it's this eyelid which is more than this one.
05:59 Now I'm going to take a synthetic concealer brush and I'm going to take MAC's Pro Longwear
06:10 Concealer.
06:11 I'm using this because it has a non-creasing technology in it and this is going to be really
06:16 good in cleaning up the crease area.
06:17 This is kind of the key to the tutorial.
06:18 This is what's going to clean up the crease and make that really sharp, nice, full crease.
06:19 I'm going to take a little bit of the concealer and I'm going to put it on my crease.
06:46 So when I get to this edge, I'm just running my brush along the edge to clean it up.
07:16 And I'm just going to run my finger along the area to make it nice and smooth.
07:35 Now the lid area, you can use whatever eyeshadow you want.
07:36 I'm going to stick with this palette and I'm going to use this shade here which is this
07:45 nice kind of golden bronzy shade.
07:46 I'm going to do this on the inner and outer corner of my eye.
07:47 I'm going to use this shade here.
07:48 I'm going to take the lighter gold, white gold shade and I'm just going to apply it
08:17 on the center of my lid because I kept that center open since I put the gold only on the
08:32 outer and inner corner of my eye.
08:36 Okay, now the cut crease part is complete.
08:42 Now I'm going to go ahead and do my eyeliner and I will be right back.
08:50 As you can see, all I did was a winged liner.
08:54 Nothing special.
08:55 Yeah, it's just a winged liner.
08:58 I didn't bring it out as far as the cut crease.
09:01 You can if you want but it is pretty dramatic.
09:05 Okay, so now that my eyeliner is on.
09:12 I'm going to now go ahead and do the bottom lash line and for that I'm going to go back
09:18 with the Urban Decay eyeliner in Whiskey and I'm just going to run this along my lower
09:27 lash line like so.
09:28 I'm also going to flick it into the inner corner.
09:29 Kind of extend the line from the tear duct out.
09:30 Kind of going downward a little bit.
09:31 Come out of the inner corner.
09:32 Okay, now I'm going to take the dark brown that we used in the cut crease and I'm just
09:56 going to take an angled brush and go over the liner.
10:09 And then once I get into the inner corner, I'm just going to be a little bit more precise
10:14 and kind of create that extended wing on the inner corner.
10:20 So that's why I do it.
10:26 Then I'm just going to take the light brown that we used in the crease and I'm going to
10:33 take the smudger brush and kind of smudge out that area.
10:48 Now the last step is to take that white gold shade and pop it on the inner tear duct.
10:58 So now I'm going to put on some lashes and mascara.
11:04 I am using the, I'm not sure the brand.
11:09 I got them at Ricky's Beauty Supply.
11:11 They're the number 73's in black.
11:15 Yeah, I will try and list them down below in the description box.
11:20 But I'm going to pop those on and then I will be back to finish off the rest of my face.
11:28 Okay, so I decided to add something to the inner corner.
11:34 Just wasn't bright enough for me.
11:36 So I'm taking this Natural Nude Positions Formula Shimmer Brick and I'm going to take
11:43 the lightest shade in there and I'm just going to pop that in the inner corner just to brighten
11:49 up the area.
11:55 Make that little extended wing on the inner corner that we made stand out a little bit
12:03 more.
12:04 And I also decided I'm going to add some of this eyeliner by Rimmel.
12:10 It's the nude eyeliner and I'm going to put this in the waterline to open up the eyes
12:17 a little bit.
12:23 Now I'm going to move on to my lips.
12:27 I already have like my bronzer and all that on.
12:31 Even though this light is kind of washing all that out, I do have it on.
12:36 I'm going to take my lip liner by BH Cosmetics in the color nude and I'm just going to outline
12:43 my lips.
12:47 Alright, so once I have that I'm going to put on the Cosmetics Lipstick in Centerfold.
13:16 And then I'm going to go back in with the lip liner.
13:20 I just wanted to call it an eyeliner.
13:21 The lip liner and I'm just going to kind of like fade it in towards the lips.
13:30 Okay, once you kind of have a little bit of a gradient going on, I'm going to add this
13:46 lip paint by LA Girl.
13:48 It is a like liquid copper lip paint and it's so pretty.
13:56 And it is in the color glam.
13:59 So I'm just going to put it directly onto my lips.
14:06 So I hope you like it.
14:13 Thank you so much for watching.
14:17 Please subscribe, share, and like.
14:21 And have a great day.
14:22 Bye.
