Kaila Napolis delivers first PH gold in SEA Games

Kaila Napolis conquers the jiu-jitsu women’s -52 kg class as she delivers the Philippines first gold medal in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games at the Chroy Changvar Convention Center Hall B in Cambodia on Thursday, May 4, 2023 , a day before the opening ceremony of the biennial meet in the capital Phnom Penh. The 25-year-old made a last ditch effort to turn back Cambodia's Jessa Khan, who had the Filipina pinned down for the whole 5-minute bout save for the last 10 seconds, which Napolis used to reverse the situation and snatch the victory.
