00:00 Hey guys, welcome back! Today's look is on my beautiful friend Kat. You guys might
00:04 recognize her from my previous video. I did a no makeup makeup look on her which
00:08 you guys totally loved, so in case you missed it I will link it down below, but
00:12 let's get on with this tutorial. So I'm starting with her makeup already kind
00:16 of done, so we're going over the makeup that I did last week and basically
00:21 applying an ivory color all over her eyes and once this is done we're gonna
00:26 go to that brown color which is a beautiful soft brown and create depth to
00:30 her crease. So I'm just applying and blending all at the same time. This is
00:35 the Lorac Pro palette by the way which just came out and I am absolutely loving
00:39 the pigments and anyway you apply it, blend it really well and if you need to
00:44 blend all the harsh edges you can grab a clean fluffy brush and do the same thing.
00:48 Alright, moving on to brightening her inner corners with this lighter color. I
00:53 like to apply this on the inner corners but take it all the way to her brow bone.
00:59 Next we are going to intensify the eyes because after all this is a smoky eye
01:05 right? So using this color called cool gray from the palette, applying it on the
01:09 outer corners and blending it to her crease. Blend away until all the harsh
01:15 edges are completely gone.
01:19 Next I'm mixing chrome with the color rose and applying this on her lids and
01:32 as you can see I'm tapping this color just on the center of her eyes and
01:36 working my way all the way to her inner corners and making sure there are no
01:40 harsh edges by blending all the colors together. Next you want to apply eyeliner
01:47 on the inner rim of the eye as well as the lash line and of course when doing a
01:51 smoky eye you don't have to worry about creating a precise line because we are
01:55 going to blend this in just a second. So grabbing a straight brush you want to
01:59 start from the outer corners and blend over that line so that it looks very
02:02 seamless and almost blends into the shadow.
02:12 And of course mascara on both top and bottom lashes. This one is by Benefit and
02:18 I used to have the little sample of this from Sephora because I had so many
02:21 points and then I loved it so much that I actually got the full size of it.
02:27 Finally cleaning out the bottom of her eyes so that everything looks nice and
02:32 clean and moving on to lashes. Now of course lashes are always optional you
02:38 don't have to go with it but for a smoky eye like this I think it does make a
02:42 difference so I'm just gonna pop these on as close to her lash line as possible.
02:46 Some artists like to have clients look down and apply the lashes. For some
02:51 reason I like it when they close their eyes. I know a lot of people are not able
02:55 to do this because they are a lot of times they end up gluing the eyes shut
02:59 but that's never happened to me. I'm pretty gentle with my glue and my
03:03 application so I just find it easier because they don't blink as much and
03:07 they just kind of sit there relax and then when they open it is all done. So
03:11 I'm just gonna go and add individual lashes so that it gives a little bit
03:14 more fullness and as you can see it does make a little bit of a difference but
03:19 it's not like so much lashes that it looks very fake. I chose bare skin for
03:23 her foundation because she already has really good skin she just has some
03:27 redness so I just wanted to give her an even application and this foundation I
03:32 absolutely love. This has about 18 ingredients in it most of it are
03:35 actually good for your skin. It's got lots of serums so it's not water-based
03:39 or oil-based it's just you know it's got lots of serums and things that are good
03:44 for your skin. Anyway so after the foundation moving on to concealer this
03:48 is the Mac Pro Longwear Concealer in NW20 and I'm applying this under her
03:53 eyes with a foundation brush and then once the product is on I'm just gonna go
03:58 back in and blend it with my kabuki brush.
04:02 Because this is a nighttime makeup I want this to last so I'm going to pack
04:08 on the translucent powder. This one is by Laura Mercier and again I'm just packing
04:12 it on making sure this foundation does not move. Once the powder is on you want
04:17 to move on to highlighting and contouring. This one is by Mac it is a
04:21 golden highlighter that is no longer available it's discontinued but I will
04:25 link it in case you guys want to go searching for it I don't know on eBay or
04:29 Amazon or something because it is a phenomenal highlighter I hope that they
04:33 bring it back. So after you apply the highlighter on the high points of the
04:35 cheeks, center of the face, a little bit above the eyes and the chin you want to
04:39 move on to contouring. This product is by Urban Decay I'm using the bronzer to
04:44 basically give her color and some definition. So applying it on the hollows
04:48 of her cheeks, her jawline, a little bit on her forehead and the sides of her
04:52 nose. Alright going to intensify the bottom lash lines that it matches the
04:58 top of course so starting with chrome which is this beautiful chocolatey color
05:04 applying this on the outer corners of the eyes and then grabbing snow and
05:08 applying this on the inner corners and blending it all sort of together. Next
05:12 I'm just gonna grab cool gray and apply this over the chrome that I just applied
05:18 and kind of blend all the colors together. If you want it to be a little
05:22 bit more intense you can add black which is what I'm doing right now but you have
05:25 to be very careful these pigments are just insane. These shadows are extremely
05:30 pigmented so if you want to create more of a natural smoky eye you have to have
05:35 a really light hand and grab very little amount of this product. By the way this
05:41 is a pencil brush by Sigma of course as usual I will have all of the links to my
05:45 brushes down below and we are almost done with the eyes. And of course the
05:51 mascara on her bottom lashes so that it opens up her eyes. Penciling in her
06:00 brows so that it's a little bit fuller and thicker. And lastly for the lips I'm
06:09 choosing one of my favorite lip liners by NYX and it's matching lip gloss. I
06:13 will have the names in the description box I totally don't remember it off top
06:17 my head sorry about that. And applying the liner basically on her lip line and
06:22 then going over it with this gloss to make sure it looks nice and glossy. When
06:26 you're done with the application you can grab a lighter shadow so what I'm doing
06:30 here is I'm mixing beige with rose from the same palette and applying it on the
06:35 center of her lips. This is going to make her lips very glossy and it's also going
06:40 to make it look a little bit bigger so if you want an overall dewy finish I
06:44 highly recommend you trying this trick. Alright the look is complete I hope you
06:48 guys enjoyed it and if you did don't forget to give it a thumbs up, comment
06:51 down below and of course share. Thanks a million to Kat for modeling for us twice
06:55 I hope you guys enjoyed the no makeup makeup I did on her as well as this
06:59 gorgeous smoky eye. I will see you guys very soon bye!
07:02 Hi guys welcome back to my channel in this video I'm going to show you how to
07:06 create this really pretty dramatic makeup look which is perfect for prom or
07:10 any special event you may have coming up. As usual I am starting off by priming my
07:15 eyes with my Urban Decay Primer Potion which I absolutely love and blending it
07:19 out with my finger.
07:22 Next I'm using my Maybelline Color Tattoo in Too Cool for School as an eyeshadow base and
07:31 applying a light layer of that to my eyelid with my finger and then gently
07:35 blending it up into my crease. Then I'm taking some scotch tape and pulling a
07:44 really attractive face as I break some off to put along the outside of my eye.
07:49 This is going to give us a perfect line of our eyeshadow once we take it off and
07:53 gives a great winged out look as you'll see soon. Then I'm taking Mac's Fresh
07:58 Water Eyeshadow and packing the color onto the outer two-thirds of my eyelid
08:02 and blending it upwards towards my brow bone.
08:05 Next I'm blending this matte brown eyeshadow into my crease. This is going
08:30 to be my transition color to help blend out the blue better with my skin tone.
08:34 Then I'm going in with Bulletproof by Sugarpill making sure to tap off the
08:45 excess and blending that into my crease.
08:48 With dark colors it's best to use a light hand and slowly build up the color
08:57 so you don't make a massive mess and end up looking like you have a black eye.
09:01 Then I'm going to take a little bit of that black color and blend it into the
09:15 outer third of my lid like so.
09:18 Now if you think you've gone a little too high with the eyeshadow just take a
09:24 cotton tip with a tiny amount of makeup remover and carefully fix up any
09:28 mistakes. Then blend out any lines with a fluffy brush.
09:31 Next I'm using this matte highlight color and applying that to my brow bone
09:37 and then I'm highlighting my inner V with a white shimmery eyeshadow to
09:42 really brighten up the eyeshadow and make it pop.
09:52 Then I'm creating a winged eyeliner with my Maybelline gel liner. This is so easy
09:58 to do thanks to the tape. Seriously if I can do winged eyeliner this way anyone can.
10:02 Now for the moment of truth, ta-da! Perfect winged eyeshadow. Now I'm just using a
10:32 cotton tip to soften up the top edge and a blending brush to make sure the top is
10:36 blended out nicely.
10:39 Then I'm going in with some concealer to touch up any makeup that the tape took
10:51 off and setting it with my L'Oreal True Match powder which I have well and truly
10:55 hit pan on.
10:58 Next I'm using my Maybelline gel liner to line my lower lash line and whilst
11:13 that is drying I'm going to fill in my eyebrows with my Sigma brow powder.
11:16 Now to keep them in place I'm going to use a brow mascara. I'm using the same one from the same brand.
11:23 Now to keep them in place because my eyebrows seem to have a mind of their
11:48 own I'm going to set them with the Anastasia clear brow gel. Once the gel
11:53 liner has dried I smudge it out a little to soften up the line and to make it
11:57 look more smoky.
12:00 Then I'm going to curl my lashes and apply some mascara before adding some false eyelashes.
12:06 While the mascara is drying I'm using my gel liner to line my waterline and tightline
12:27 making sure to smudge it down into my lashes so there are no gaps and trying
12:32 really hard to not poke myself in the eye.
12:39 Now it's time to add some false eyelashes. For this look I'm using the red cherry 217
12:46 lashes instead of my beloved Ardell 120 demi's just to mix it up a little and
12:51 keep you on your toes.
13:01 Then to finish off the eyes I'm going over the eyelashes and touching up my
13:05 eyeliner.
13:08 Now moving on to the face I've already applied my foundation to save time and
13:19 I'm using my concealer to create a subtle highlight and blending it out
13:23 with my Real Techniques expert face brush.
13:26 Next I'm going to contour my cheekbones forehead and jawline using my
13:38 favorite bronzer right now which is the Hoola bronzer by Benefit.
13:42 Then I'm applying a peachy tone blush to my cheekbones.
14:12 I'm also applying a peachy tone blush to my cheekbones and the apples of my cheeks along with my prestige highlighter to the high points of my face for a nice healthy glow.
14:38 And finally to finish off this look I'm applying a nude lipstick so that I don't
14:42 look too over the top with such bold eyes.
14:45 So afterwards I decided I would add some of my highlighter to my brow bone as
14:53 well as I thought it looked nicer with this eye shadow.
14:56 And this is the finished look. I hope you liked my tutorial and thank you for
15:04 watching. Please remember to thumbs up and subscribe for more videos and I will
15:08 see you guys next week. Bye guys!
