Football superstar Lionel Messi is reportedly facing disciplinary action, including a possible two-week suspension, from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for taking a trip to Saudi Arabia without the club's permission. The reports come at a crucial time as PSG hopes to extend Messi's contract beyond this season. French media outlets L'Equipe and RMC Sport reported the suspension on Tuesday without citing sources. According to a source with knowledge of the issue, PSG denied Messi's request to make the trip, where he has a commercial contract to promote tourism. During his suspension, Messi will not be allowed to train or play with the team and will not be paid. Messi has led Argentina to the World Cup title in December and is currently the leading scorer and assister in the French league.
