  • last year
The Galvanizers Yard at the SWG3 is set to be transformed into a vibrant canvas of colour and creativity for the return of Yardworks Festival.

The weekend-long event opens on Friday 5 May, and will feature murals being created in real time, an open air art gallery, street food, and workshops.

Next up, The Road to the Great Escape is returning to venues across Glasgow, showcasing a range of musicians from Scotland and further afield.

On 6 May, emerging artists such as Katie Gregson-Macleod, Humour, Calum Bowie and Nell Mescal will be playing inside the Garage, King Tut’s, G2 and The Garage Attic.

Next, the biggest exhibition of its kind showcasing fashion designer Mary Quant’s work will be launching at Kelvingrove on 20 May.

And finally, the first Vicar Street Social event is set to take off at McChuills on 13 May, marking the start of Brogeal’s monthly residency at the venue.

The multi-band event was started by the folk group in Falkirk but is now making the permanent move to Glasgow.
