BuzzFeed's stock price dips below $1, risking delisting from Nasdaq

Buzzfeed's ($BZFD@US) stock has traded below $1 for six consecutive days, putting the digital media company at risk of its stock being delisted, in the event that Buzzfeed trades below $1 for 30 consecutive days, the Nasdaq stock exchange will give the company 180 more days to raise the stock price. The company went public at $10 a share in December 2021, and its stock price has fallen by 95 percent since its IPO. BuzzFeed reported a net loss of $201 million for 2022 after turning a $26 million profit in 2021. CEO Jonah Peretti aims to use artificial intelligence in Buzzfeed content to boost engagement and cut costs.
